I had 2 hybrids spawn in front of me within 2 seconds of each other in engineering cargo bays.that is terrible. Also some decks require you to go back and forth through the same paths and corridors so you can understand the frustration on dealing with them. This simply annoying mechanic stops you from exploring the levels and on top of that you barely get any ammo or health back once you kill them. Respawning enemies (WHY?): They are manageable but only when you have build a strong character and that takes time. In early decks, you barely get any ammo or health kits from it and it further degrades it worth early on. Also items obtained from hacking isn't always good. There should have been a bit more emphasis on it story wise as with just env-storytelling alone, a new player might not invest into the hack skill. The fact that some character builds can completely stop your progress and hinder you from completing the game is an odd choice.Me putting the modules into hacking and cybernetic affinity was a chance event and I had no idea of its significance up until the end. The game is a masterpiece and there is no doubt about that, but the collision issues need to be resolved by modding. I managed to complete with level 5 hack skill and maxed out strength, standard weapons and agility. There is an immense satisfaction to be had when you finally understand a level, finish the puzzles, secrets without any help and also manage your weapons to maximum effectiveness.
The story is so immersive and the station feels like a real place. Every corner of the station has a story to tell. You can tell by the level design, the environmental story telling and the overall design structure of the combat that the Devs have put in so much love and effort. I wish I can get my memory wiped of playing this game so I can experience it fresh once again.
SS2 is probably one of the best games I have ever played. The only immersive sim I played before SS2 was PREY 2017.
